Yes sir, Cadet !

Los Cadetes de Linares are an old fashioned group that are still continuing their career. They play corridos, ballad-style songs about famous cartel people or other type of music. They are known from their famous songs and appearances in Mexican films.
This group was found in 1960 in the city of El Poblado, Linares , Nuevo Leon, Mexico by Homero Guerrero. It was his dream to become a military attend but the economy was not going that well so instead he started playing the guitar in family parties and local places. Later on, Adan Moreno, the first accordionist, joined Homero.
Because Adan and Homero were officially from Linares, they got recognized as Los Cadetes de Linares. Because of group problems, Adan left which in 1968 Samuel Zapata entered as the second accordionist. Their fame rose higher than ever. They began touring around Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Chicago, California and New Mexico.
They got big hits on the songs of Dos Coronas a mi Madre, El Asesino, Las Tres Tumbas, Polvo Maldito, etc. Their success was going great until February 19, 1982 where Homero Guerrero was killed in an auto accident on the road from Linares to Monterrey.
This hit a lot of fans and family. Tons of people attented the funeral. After his death, Rosendo Cantu took his place. This is old school but it is a still great jamm !

The Rooster from Sinaloa

Chalino Sanchez is a man of his word. His real name is Rosalino Sanchez Felix. His nickname was El Pelavacas. He was born in August 30, 1960 and passed on in May 16, 1992. Chalino was raised in Las Flechas, Baridaguato, Sinaloa, Mexico and died in Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico. At some point, he had to escape mexican authorities because his sister was raped by "el mafioso", that lived near by the house. Chalino reacted on killing him, so what he did was immigrating to California.
He began working in the fields where he began profiting money from this job and other jobs. Later on, Chalino's sister introduced him to Marisela Vallejos Felix which gave birth to his two children, Adan Sanchez Vallejos and Cynthia Sanchez Vallejos.
One day, Chalino met Angel Parra who was interested in Chalino's music talents. He arranged a meeting Sanchez and recorded various corridos which later on got a big hit. He then was popular in the Mexican American culture.
Chalino was known for the "Rey de los Corridos" ( King of Corridos). But one morning, everything changed completely. He was being transported in a Chevy Suburban where a Federal Police Car told them to pull over. Approximately, 6:00 a.m.
Chalino was found dead in the side of the road with two gunshots in his head. He will always be remembered in our hearts and our music. R.I.P Chalino.

Always be an Original...

Uffff ! Los Alegres de teran go along way back. Not even when you were born !This old school band were the first to play norteno music. We owe this to Tomas Ortiz and Eugenio Abrego.
They played the classical intruments like the accordion and the bajo sexto. This band is an descended fron the groups of right now. For example, Los Invasores de Nuevo Leon, Ramon Ayala, Los Tigres del Norte and many others.
Sadly, these two rockstars have passed on but the group is still going on and still rocking. Their carrer strated approximately in the 1910s and 1920s. So this group is really old but classic ! So get your butt up and start jamming to some old school ! Yeauhhh buddy !

You will always be around...

Valentin Elizalde ! Wow ! Now this guy is a true legend. He sang and sang until one day, a couple of bullets ruined his career and life. He was born in February 1, 1979 until November 25, 2006. He was born inNavojoa, Sonora, Mexico and died in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico. The type of music that he sang was nortenas, corridos and banda.
This famous singer was gunned down in an ambush because f the reason of singing narcocorridos. He was murdered at the age of 27 by a member of the victorious drug trafficking gang called "Los Zetas". Elizalde's nickname was "El Gallo de Oro" which means The Golden Rooster.
Valentin left behind six children and a wife named Camila. They say the reason they killed Elizalde was because one of his famous songs, A Mis Enemigos. His music is still listened to widely and respected too.
Famous singers of today like Gerardo Ortix and Roberto Tapia are inspired by this man, Valentin Elizalde. If you want to jamm hard, but not deadly, take the time in his memory of listening at leat one of his songs.

This just got INTENSE !

Grupo Intenso is a unique group like any other. They relate their type of music to love and life. Sometimes you can relate your situation to their types of songs. This band hasn't played or sing for quite a while. But their music is ver beautiful. The main singer, his voice is very smooth which makes his music different. This band plays nortena and cumbia mixed together in a way. Guys, ya'll should really take the time and listen to this old school band from like what... 1995 ? They might be olf fashioned but theystill jamm !

Death Match !

Duelo... Hmm interesting name. But it is also an interesting Group. Duelo is a spanish norteno group from originally Roma, Texas. They first started or the group built itself in March 1996 and still ongoing until this day.
The main singer, Oscar Ivan Tevino, plays the bajo sexto and is the musical director of the band.
Dimas Lopez, Jr. plays the accordion. Pedro Flores plays bajo electrico and is 2nd voice. Jose Luis Ayala Jr. plays the drums.
This amazing group has touched the people from Mexico and United States with their amazing songs. They have come up a long way from where they are at now. Some songs are like Mas que Nunca, Para Sobrevivir, Malabares, El Dia, Un Minuto Mas, El no Sabe, and many more. You should really take the time to listen to this fabulous group. Its a classic but smooth band to jamm to !

Ruff ! Ruff !

Have you ever heard of Los Cachorros de Juan Villarreal ? Well it is an awesome norteno group. They aren't that famous but just a little. The group is united as a family and IS a family. They are kind of like the Tigres del Norte. United as family and bussines matters. Los Cachorros have played in famous bars and concerts. For example in El Disco Rodeo, El Portal, Frontera Bar and many more other places.
Their type of music is like nortena, cumbia, slow dance music and other types of mexican tradition. The main singer of the group, I think, has stepped down to his brother's and now the brother is taking the lead of the group. Trust me guys, you wont regret listening to them because they just catch your emotions. They just want to make you dance and shout and scream ! But take take of finding them and you wont regret it. ! I promise !
