Yes sir, Cadet !

Los Cadetes de Linares are an old fashioned group that are still continuing their career. They play corridos, ballad-style songs about famous cartel people or other type of music. They are known from their famous songs and appearances in Mexican films.
This group was found in 1960 in the city of El Poblado, Linares , Nuevo Leon, Mexico by Homero Guerrero. It was his dream to become a military attend but the economy was not going that well so instead he started playing the guitar in family parties and local places. Later on, Adan Moreno, the first accordionist, joined Homero.
Because Adan and Homero were officially from Linares, they got recognized as Los Cadetes de Linares. Because of group problems, Adan left which in 1968 Samuel Zapata entered as the second accordionist. Their fame rose higher than ever. They began touring around Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Chicago, California and New Mexico.
They got big hits on the songs of Dos Coronas a mi Madre, El Asesino, Las Tres Tumbas, Polvo Maldito, etc. Their success was going great until February 19, 1982 where Homero Guerrero was killed in an auto accident on the road from Linares to Monterrey.
This hit a lot of fans and family. Tons of people attented the funeral. After his death, Rosendo Cantu took his place. This is old school but it is a still great jamm !
